This profile piece tells the story of Counterevolution, an eco-friendly furniture company that grew out of founder Jim Malone’s affinity for vintage bowling alley wood. Their pieces, all crafted from reclaimed materials, can be seen in Starbucks, Shake Shacks, and other commercial and residential spaces across the country. We shot this at their workshop near the Brooklyn Navy Yards, and interviewed Malone at his log cabin in the Catskills (which yes, he also built himself!).
