We’re a small company with a big personality, driven by our curiosity about the world around us. Each video we produce is a process of discovering something new and exciting and transforming it into an authentic and compelling narrative. With every project, our goal is to foster a fun and collaborative environment where together we can identify how to best share your unique story and engage your audience.
We’ve had the privilege of producing all kinds of content for purposeful businesses, not-for-profits, media outlets, music labels, and local and national bands. We love working with people who are passionate about what they do since that’s how we feel about filmmaking.
Neither of our founders (Meghan and John) followed a traditional path into video and our diversity of experience helps us bring a fresh approach to video production. Where our interests have converged is a shared love of the storytelling techniques of documentary and narrative filmmaking and the beautiful images that power those stories. When we’re not producing videos for Extraneous Noise, you’ll probably find us working on other narrative and documentary projects.
Although we’re based in Boston, we frequently travel around the country to produce content. In the past six months we’ve produced videos in New Mexico, Florida, and NYC, and have trips to California and Wisconsin planned in the coming months.
Our core team is small, but we can scale our operations to the needs of the project. We can produce a video with a crew of one or manage crews of ten or more people drawing on some of Boston’s many talented freelancers. We can take a video all the way from conception to completion or help with specific aspects of the project from preproduction, production, post production, to video marketing consulting.
Wherever you are in the process, give us a call – we’d love to chat with you about your video goals.
